The ContiForceContact is Continental’s Streetable Track & Competition tire developed for serious driving enthusiasts looking for predictable performance to help them maximize their driving experience as they drive their cars to and from racetracks to participate in track lapping days and High Performance Driver Education (HPDE) events. Developed at the world famous Nürburgring circuit, the ContiForceContact is designed to bring together Continental’s racing and passenger car tire technologies. However, like other Streetable Track & Competition tires, it is not intended to be driven on extremely wet roads with standing water where there is the risk of hydroplaning, or in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice. It’s also essential these tires be stored indoors at temperatures maintained above 32 degrees F.

ContiForceContact tires use Continental’s Black Chilli tread compound that contains special grip resins to enhance contact between the tire and the pavement on the microscopic level. This compound is molded into front/rear, size-specific asymmetric tread patterns featuring macro-block designs with sturdy lateral shoulder blocks to deliver great power transmission. The transverse grooves ensure the tire hugs the road surface to deliver enhanced dry cornering grip, precise steering and predictable handling under potential breakaway conditions, delivering consistent, fast lap times. Surface-modified silica tread compound provides enhanced grip on wet surfaces while wide circumferential central grooves and bi-directional drainage inboard grooves help evacuate water to resist hydroplaning.

The tire’s internal structure includes two full-width steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped polyamide to stiffen the tread area and help prevent contact area distortion during aggressive acceleration, cornering, braking and high-speed use.

ContiForceContact tires are molded with approximately 6/32″ of tread depth in their grooves and are left unshaved for use on damp tracks. While the tires do not require shaving for dry track use, their durability and lap time performance will improve if shaved to approximately 4/32″ deep tread to begin competitive road racing/track use in dry conditions, however this will sacrifice significant treadlife.

Warning: ContiForceContact radials meet DOT requirements, however they are not recommended for driving in wet conditions where standing water is present and there is the risk of hydroplaning; drivers should drive cautiously at reduced speeds if they encounter these conditions. This is especially true of shaved or worn tires. And like other Streetable Track & Competition tires, these tires are not intended to be stored, serviced nor driven in near- or below freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

Continental’s warranty states: “The tires should not be subjected to direct and prolonged exposure to sunlight, sources of high heat and/or moisture, temperatures below 0 degrees C (32 degrees F), long term storage in tire racks, contact with solvents, lubricants, fuel and other chemical products as well as ozone emission from equipment like transformers, electric motors, etc.” and therefore any tires exhibiting conditions that arise from these situations will not be covered under warranty.
