The Grabber Arctic LT is General Tire’s Light Truck/SUV Studdable Winter / Snow tire developed for the drivers of heavy-duty pickup trucks, sport utility vehicles, full-size vans and commercial vehicles looking for traction on winter’s slushy, snow-covered and icy roads. Designed to offer traction in near- and below-freezing temperatures, Grabber Arctic LT winter tires are available in heavy-duty Load Range E sizes and molded to accommodate optional metal studs.

Grabber Arctic LT tires feature a robust cut- and chip-resistant winter compound that maintains flexibility in freezing temperatures. This compound is molded into a broad, symmetric tread design featuring two rows of interlocking center blocks flanked by independent intermediate blocks and squared-off shoulders. The intermediate and shoulder blocks feature reinforcing buttresses on their sides, and the shoulder blocks are circumferentially connected by stepped reinforcement bars to improve handling and braking in all weather conditions. Angled interlocking light truck winter sipes combine dry and wet performance with snow-biting surface edges. Tread block buttresses, stepped reinforcement bars and bottom-of-groove snow traction ridges all work together to increase three-dimensional traction in deep snow. Alternating rows of optional metal studs can be inserted into the shoulder and intermediate tread blocks to increase traction on hard packed snow and icy roads.

The Grabber Arctic LT tire’s wide, flat footprint is supported by ultra-high-strength steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon to deliver exceptional penetration resistance and even footprint pressure for excellent braking and confident stability under all approved load conditions. General Grabber Arctic LT tires meet the industry’s severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Install Grabber Arctic LT tires in sets of four only.

Molded to accept optional 12mm (TSMI #13) gold-colored metallic winter studs.

  1. Purchased these from Tire Rack with studs as my winter tires and just completed a full Idaho winter. I live at 3200 FT and have to drive 1.4 miles of dirt road to my home uphill. There was 130″ of snowfall this season and these tires performed beautifully. I experience every type of winter condition: Ice, deep snow, wet heavy snow, light powder snow, full slush etc. These got me up and down my hill without problem and some of the grade is fairly steep. Also experienced rain, standing water and shallow mud on hard pack. Went through it all no problem. Excellent winter tire and a fairly quiet and smooth ride.

  2. Great snow/ice tires! I put these on my Tahoe in Colorado this winter and rarely had to use 4 wheel drive with these babies on. The wear is great but I don’t plan on using them year round (only in winter) so that is yet to be determined. But they run circles around the Bridgestone all terrains that I took off for these. Highly recommend for winter drving

  3. Great tires! Live in Colorado mountains. Constant changing weather and road conditions. Even in conditions of water on ice, a true test for any tire, no slippage. I drive in both 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive, depending upon time of day, road conditions, and traffic volume. Hunted off road with theses tires on truck in 8 inches of snow for three days. No issues, great traction. Went anywhere I wanted to go, including off established two track road, cross country 2 and 1/2 miles for a retrieval of harvested big game. This tire is as good as any winter tire on the market. I know. I drive a commercial passenger airport shuttle in a ski town. Have used several brands of tires, but wanted to try this tire due to tread design and consumer ratings. Have owned tires for two months, and they have been a solid choice!

  4. Totally satisfied. Put 4 on our 1 ton chevy work van. Had 0 problems with central N.Y. hills and un-plowed driveways. Got this truck new at the end of previous winter and struggled to get around with the stock all-season tires. After 12k miles they still have 13-14/32 tread remaining from the original 16/32. Real happy with that. Only slightly louder than stock tires. The guy mounting them said he only needed a small balancing weight on 2 of them. A sign of a well made tire.

  5. 10,000 miles and virtually no wear. Live in the mountains of Colorado, with lots of snow and ice. Great traction AND stopping ability, even on glazed ice. Happy road warrior!

  6. Put these on my Wife’s Armada last winter and was not disappointed! Live in the Colorado Front Range and while others were slipping around the canyon roads, she was safe and stable. Liked them so much that I just bought a set for my Titan for this winter. Run them only during the winter and then swap out over the summer. Very impressed with how little they have worn.

  7.
