Pilot Sport Cup+ (Plus) / N-Spec Streetable Track & Competition radials benefit from the same attention to detail that has earned Michelin repeated successes at major endurance races like the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 12 Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta. Pilot Sport Cup+ and N-Spec tires were developed for enthusiasts who participate in track day events, as well as for serious drivers on the road.

Homologated as Original Equipment (O.E.) on the E92 BMW M3 and Porsche 911, GT2, GT3 and GT3 RS models, Pilot Sport Cup + / N-Spec tires meet DOT requirements for road use. However, they are not recommended for driving in wet conditions where standing water is present and there is the risk of hydroplaning; drivers should drive cautiously at reduced speeds if they encounter these conditions. And like all Streetable Track & Competition tires, Pilot Sport Cup+ / N-Spec radials are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice. It’s also essential these tires be stored indoors at temperatures maintained above 32 degrees F.

Pilot Sport Cup+ / N-Spec tires feature an asymmetric tread design with a massive outboard shoulder rib to enhance steering response and cornering stability in dry conditions while a thin circumferential outboard shoulder groove and wide circumferential grooves and independent tread blocks of the inboard design enhance wet traction. The tire’s internal structure includes two full-width steel belts reinforced with Michelin’s Banded At Zero (BAZ) technology to stiffen the tread area and help prevent contact area distortion during aggressive acceleration, cornering, braking and high-speed use.

Pilot Sport Cup+ / N-Spec tires are molded with 6/32″ of tread depth in their grooves and are left unshaved for use on damp tracks. While Pilot Sport Cup+ / N-Spec tires do not require shaving for dry track use, their lap time performance will improve slightly if shaved to approximately 4/32″ deep tread to begin competitive road racing/track use in dry conditions, however this will sacrifice significant treadlife.

Warning: Pilot Sport Cup+ / N-Spec radials meet DOT requirements, however they are not recommended for driving in wet conditions where standing water is present and there is the risk of hydroplaning; drivers should drive cautiously at reduced speeds if they encounter these conditions. This is especially true of shaved or worn tires. And like other Streetable Track & Competition tires, these tires are not intended to be stored, serviced nor driven in near- or below freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

  1. This is the first time putting the sport cups on my car and I really love how it improved the cornering. The sport cups give you much improved traction and confidence over the PS2 which I replaced. I switched from 295’s on the rear to 305’s which gives me a little more rubber on the rear , but it did increase the rear road noise a little on some road surfaces.. The added benifit was well worth the small increase in road noise. It will be interesting to see how many miles I can get out of the these beautiful soft compound tires on my occasional track days.
